The Budget Committee, in consultation with officers and staff, is responsible for developing the PGCEA budget each fiscal year.
The Bylaws Committee is responsible for receiving, preparing, and introducing PGCEA bylaws amendments to the Representative Council for adoption.
The Contract Enforcement Committee is responsible for providing professional development activities to unit 1 members in support of building level enforcement of the contract.
The Government Relations Committee is responsible for lobbying the school board, county council, and State legislature in support of the policy goals of PGCEA and the profession.
The Investment Committee provides oversight and guidance on the association's investment portfolio and financial assets.
The Professional Development and Leadership Committee is responsible for developing and carrying out a strategic professional development plan for all educators.
The Membership Committee is responsible for establishing goals to recruit, engage, and maintain unit 1 members in PGCEA.
The Minority Affairs Committee is responsible for empowering students, celebrating diversity, and promoting inclusion through our MLK Jr essay and art contest, cultural events, scholarships, and facilitating spaces for open dialogue and discussions about diversity and inclusion.
The NECC is responsible establishing the rules and regulations governing all PGCEA conducted elections and conducting PGCEA elections in accordance with their approved guidelines and bylaws.
The Public Relations Committee is responsible for developing and maintaining an external and internal public relations program reflecting the mission and values of PGCEA.
The Racial and Social Justice Committee is responsible for evaluating the school system policies, programs, and practices on discipline and evaluating and centering racial and social justice work as a priority for PGCEA.
The Social Committee is responsible for building commUNITY among unit 1 members, through social activities, in order to generate connectedness, unity, and strength.
The Special Education Committee is responsible for reviewing and training policies, programs, and practices on Special Education, the implementation of IDEIA 2004, ADA, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and sharing best practices with membership.
The Sick Leave Bank Committee is responsible for reviewing and approving Sick Leave Bank requests, recommending disability retirement, and recommending Sick Leave policy and rules changes.
