Salary FAQs

July 1, 2022. The 2023-2025 Negotiated Agreement went into effect retroactively as of its signing on September 22, 2022.  

All 12-month employees’ pay rates are effective July 1, 2022. 

All 11-month employees’ pay rates are effective as of your start date. 

All 10-month employees’ pay rates are effective as of the start of the school year, August 19. 

Yes, A 6% Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) will be applied to all pay tables effective July 1, 2022. View the new Salary Schedule.

(Article 22.6 B) 

PGCPS will pay a one-time $1000 retention bonus no later than October 21st, 2022. This bonus is taxable income, and taxes will be taken at that time.

PGCPS plans to issue retroactive pay on December 9th, 2022.  

Unit I members hired on Step 10 between July 1, 2018, and June 30, 2022, may contact the PGCPS Director of Human Resources to complete an assessment of potential salary increases based upon verified credible experience beyond Step 10 at their hire date.

Yes, Unit 1 members holding conditional certifications are eligible for cola and steps. 

Your step increase is effective Feb 1st, 2023, in subsequent years it will be effective July 1st.  

(Article 22.2 B.2) 

No changes were made to insurance under the new agreement. Insurance rates are set according to the calendar year independently of contract negotiations.  

The new Substitute pay rate is effective retroactively to July 1, 2022. PGCPS plans to issue retro pay on December 9th, 2022.  

 

Submit the PGCEA Unit I Members Classroom/Workload/Caseload Coverage form to the Payroll Services Department when you provide coverage for an absent Unit 1 member or vacant Unit 1 position.

The new summer school pay rate is effective retroactively to July 1, 2022. PGCPS plans to issue retro pay on December 9th, 2022.
