Duties of the PGCEA Professional Development & Leadership Committee

  1. Conduct teacher training workshops.
  2. Implement appropriate training programs.
  3. Prepare and conduct parent workshops.
  4. Become involved with county curriculum.
  5. Monitor reorganization plan for PG public schools.
  6. Study relationship between class size and student achievement.
  7. Study relationship between resource help and student achievement.
  8. Plan and organize PGCEA Fall LTR.
  9. Plan and conduct additional training throughout the year.
  10. Assist in funneling newly trained people into active roles in Association (follow-up with assertiveness training for LTR participants).
