From Promise to Progress

In this bargaining cycle, every proposal we bring forward will challenge the elements of our school system that operate as average. Prince George’s County is exceptional. Our brilliance and innovation come from our diversity. And yet, we have real challenges: vacancies, inefficiencies, and inequities. It’s time to move beyond promises and make real progress.

Bargaining Status: Proposals and Responses

Stand Strong, Stay United!

Educators, we’re making progress slowly, but we’re still facing resistance to fair compensation, emoluments, and respect for your time and expertise. Justin Robinson presented on the high fund balance and how PGCPS is paying educators less than most surrounding counties. The district continues to expect unpaid labor for after-school events and offers COLA proposals that insult our profession, even as vacancies soar and administration salaries skyrocket.

This isn’t teaching from 100 years ago. What’s happening on the ground today, your lived reality, is precisely why we presented the proposal we did. We’re fighting for a contract that reflects the demands of modern education and the respect you deserve

We need YOU at next week’s session. Show up and stand with your bargaining team. Let’s send a clear message: we won’t work for free, and we won’t settle for less.

Together we win!
