Education Secretary Miguel Cardona has been visiting schools across the country for the “Help is Here” School Reopening Tour. On Tuesday, he visited Mary Harris “Mother” Jones Elementary in Adelphi.

Four days into the reopening of schools in Prince George’s County, students paused during a lesson about opinion writing to hear a few opinions from visiting Education Secretary Miguel Cardona.

Saturday morning, March 7, 2020, from 8 a.m.-12 pm, public school teachers and educational support professionals from across Prince George’s County will join the city of  District Heights and other elected leaders to hold a community celebration of literacy.

Last week there was a student and educator involved incident of violence that occurred at Largo High School. Today at 1:15 P.M. is a hearing before a judge and PGCEA is following this incident very closely and realize the implication it will have on the future of our school system.
