PGCEA on the Tragic Losses at Riverdale Elementary

UPPER MARLBORO, MD — 21 November 2023, We are deeply saddened by the news of Monday’s vehicle collision at Riverdale Elementary which resulted in the deaths of two Students.

PGCEA President Dr. Donna Christy issued the following statement.
“Our heartfelt condolences go out to their families, friends, and educators. We are devastated by the loss of these young lives, and we stand together, sending love and healing thoughts to their families and the entire Riverdale community.

In these difficult times we are thankful for the hard work and care of the PGCPS Crisis Team who are on site to provide crisis intervention and mental health support.”
