PGCEA Welcomes Dr. Shawn Joseph to Continued Leadership as PGCPS Superintendent
County Executive Aisha Braveboy announced the appointment of Dr. Shawn Joseph as Superintendent of Prince George’s County Public Schools on Monday, June 1.
Dr. Joseph has served as interim superintendent since June 2025, and prior to his appointment, as an assistant professor of educational leadership, administration, and policy at Howard University.
