New Video Ad by Prince George’s County Educators Calls the Public School System to Support Teacher Contract Proposals

Video ad highlights the “Bargaining for the Common Good” Platform

Prince George’s County, MD: On the heels of a record investment in education by the Maryland State Legislature, the Prince George’s County Educators Association has launched a new ad to educate the public about what educators and community partners are asking for in the current contract negotiations and what their “Bargaining for the Common Good” platform is all about. The ad comes just as the county council will begin to review, approve, cut or deny the proposed budget for education. The negotiations between educators and the  Prince George’s County Public School System have been open to the public for transparency and all proposals have been made available. PGCEA President Theresa Dudley released the following statement:

“We are bargaining to improve education in Prince George’s County Public Schools for our students and families,” said PGCEA President Theresa Mitchell Dudley. “Retaining our highly qualified educators requires investment in compensation. It is best for our students, our schools and our community.”
