PGCEA Walk-In to Defend Public Education

Soon after our public demonstrations, President Trump signed an executive order to dismantle the Education Department, and his Education Secretary said she plans to ‘unwind’ department regulations. Undoing decades of crucial regulations would throw the nation’s public education system into a state of chaos, and Trump’s proclamation is unconstitutional, as completely eliminating the department would require the approval of Congress. We will continue to fight against these harmful efforts by the Trump Administration.
